Today I started laying the ties. These are Kappler Mill & Lumber ties (part number KP00SS8-N).

I spread out a little white glue with a toothpick, and then lay the individual ties one by one. A few metal weights are used to press the ties down into the glue. This process goes surprisingly fast. The ties shown in the photo above I did in about an hour.
