For three months I have devoted all of my modeling time to the Woods Furniture Factory
diorama. It is finally time to make some room for it on the layout.

Between these two photos you should have an idea of where on the layout the structure is placed. The boxcar on the spur on the right has already
been spotted. The switching action takes place at the back of the diorama on this layout, however my plan in a future layout is that the track
side will be facing forward for easier access to the cars.
At this point in time, the diorama has not been attached to the layout yet. I still need to attach the sound module, install some trees, and I
need to add an electrical supply pole. However, those are all details I can add over time whenever I need a break from track work, which will
be coming up soon.
I had to remove a bit of the cork subroadbed to get the diorama close enough to the boxcar, as you can see in the larger photo below.

I am done with any under-the-layout work on the turntable, so I wanted to dress the layout up a bit. I glued some Masonite board along the two
visible fronts.
It was a bit of a challenge to hold the panels in place while the glue set. However, as can be seen in this photo, tape is a great clamping tool!
Below is an updated photo of the area of Bear Creek. I hope to extend the backdrop soon, and also start work on laying track for the area in
front of the mainline.
