It has been a while since I updated these pages. I don't have enough time to devote to the layout. However, I have been scratchbuilding track in the industrial area in the front section of the layout at Bear Creek. Here's a photo of the first turnout under construction. This area of the layout will have all code 40 #8 turnouts. I am working on the throwbar for the one in the photo, and I still need to install the wing rails. All track is glued to the ties using 5-minute epoxy.



Working on just the track gets monotonous after a while, so I am also progressing in the scenery area. Pieces of card board strips act as the scenery base.



The gaps between the rest of the layout and the Woods Furniture diorama are also being filled in. I am not gluing any strips to the diorama itself, because that needs to remain removable for when the layout has to come down.
