Bear Creek & Eastern Introduction |
 |

Purpose
The Bear Creek & Eastern Railroad is a fictitious small railroad. It acts as a branchline for the Pennsylvania Railroad (which explains the PRR equipment).
There are two towns served by this railroad. The first is called Bear Creek. The other has yet to be named.
Objective
To continue to improve my modeling skills, while learning some techniques that I have not yet used. It is going to be a simple layout, because I have no
intention to preserve it in case of a move. My overall main focus is scratchbuilding. No formal operating sessions are planned for this layout.
Current Status
The track in the town of Bear Creek is finished. I have some structures in place as well as the basic scenery. The area needs a lot more bushes and trees,
as well as completion of the remaining structures. The benchwork is complete for the center section (the bottom of "U" so to say). The subroadbed is in
place for that section, and track work has been started. The left-hand side of the layout will have three levels, two with track and one with water (a river
front). The basic benchwork is in place. The middle level (or the lower track level has had its subroadbed installed and track work is commencing.
