JB Brewing Co.

This unique HO-scale structure of the JB Brewing Co. features three different sections that have been added on over the years. The main structure with the tall chimney was built many decades ago. It has a brick loading dock on the track side.

Dedicated office space was needed, so an addition was built some time later. The owners attempted to purchase the same brick matching the main structure, however, the original roofing material was no longer available. On the other side of the main building is an exposed outside storage area. Also, additional ramp space was needed. This latest addition was built out of wood, saving the company a lot of money.

This structure is a masterpiece. Bricks were individually hand-painted. The doors have carefully painted hinges and doorknobs. The roofs are realistically painted and weathered.

This photo on the left shows a close-up of the main brewing facility. It includes the "JB Brewery Co." sign, strategically placed where it is clearly visible to the train crew. All the doors, louvres, and window sills have been painted in typically vintage colors. There are barrels scattered all over the place. All-in-all, the building is well-maintained, because business has been good.

This photo is a close-up of the office addition. The later addition has a metal roof. There is a chimney for the stove inside to heat the building during the winter months. All is realistically painted and weathered.

The latest addition to the building is made from wood, and serves as an outdoor storage facility. It also adds some much needed ramp space. There are bushes growing around the perimeter of the deck. There is gravel under the deck.

This photo shows the backside of the office extension. It provides for covered outside storage space. Probably used for loading barrels onto local delivery trucks. The ground surface is nicely paved.
