FRSLinkCheck not only verifies the existence of links outside your web site, but also within your own site. We recommend that you use this product on a regular basis, to verify that your site is functioning correctly.

Intranets

Because of the fact that FRSLinkCheck can verify links on local copies of web sites, it can also verify Intranets (web sites that are not made available to the public). Just because the public doesn't see this site doesn't mean that it should not behave correctly! To set up an Intranet web project within FRSLinkCheck, simply add a project in the "Web Sites Manager" window, selecting only the local folder wherein the Intranet is found. Note that a "local folder" can also be a company network drive that you have mapped in your Windows® Explorer.

Miscellaneous Documents

Do you maintain documentation for any kind of project using HTML pages? If so, you may wish to set up a project within FRSLinkCheck to verify the links of those pages. We do this internally. Our software products are released with HTML-based product documentation, which we verify with FRSLinkCheck.

Validating Favorites & Bookmarks

Even if you don't manage a web site, you probably do have Internet Explorer Favorites or Firefox Bookmarks. Over time you can build quite a collection of those links. The browsers don't offer a good way to verify that all those links still work. Well, download and install FRSLinkCheck right now, and load up your web browser's Favorites or Bookmarks (see the application's "View" menu). FRSLinkCheck validates them all. It even allows you to modify or delete links, right from within the application!
